In front of lockers at Nagoya Station, I happened to make friends with someone from South Korea. We followed each other on twitter, but I actually have no idea what they are writing about because I don't understand the language. How do can you continue a friendship with foreigners long-term?

Question:
I (24) have been working in the service industry for 6 years now, but I can't get over my shyness. I can talk with guests normally, but... outside of work I can't start talks and my smile is awkward (haha). I want to become able to talk (and enjoy it) like Tatsurou!! How can I do that? Please share your know-how (>_<)
